EasyLaTeX 1.2.2: Six New Languages and a Refined Workspace

NewsEasyLaTeXPublished

EasyLaTeX 1.2.2 is here. This release focuses on the screens and actions researchers use every day: six additional languages, a more consistent workspace, and improvements to loading, AI conversation switching, literature uploads, and LaTeX project operations.

Six new languages, nine in total

French, German, Russian, Spanish, Korean, and Traditional Chinese join Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese. The expansion covers the product interface, website, Docs, news, blog, and help content.

Language selection, fonts, common action labels, and error feedback have received corresponding adjustments. Choose a language in the selector or open a localized home page:

English · 简体中文 · 日本語 · 繁體中文 · Español · 한국어 · Français · Deutsch · Русский

Interface language remains separate from manuscript language and compiler settings. Switching the interface does not translate project text or replace journal and thesis template settings.

Less repeated loading between tasks

Language resources and selected heavier interfaces load on demand. Preloading and cache reuse reduce repeated loading when returning to common pages. Project sidebars, AI message history, and file previews also have refined loading behavior.

Skeletons and status feedback make it easier to see what is still loading and what is ready to use. These changes prioritize continuity when entering a workspace, switching pages, and returning to existing content; actual loading times depend on the connection, device, and project size.

A more consistent workspace UI

Project and literature libraries have updated cards, filters, entry illustrations, and information hierarchy. Sidebar, account-menu, and settings layouts are more consistent across the workspace.

Empty states, loading placeholders, button hints, and action feedback have been refined too. Font and layout adaptations help longer translated labels and different writing systems fit naturally into the interface.

More continuity in AI conversations and editing

Conversation switching better preserves input drafts and reading positions, while reducing mismatches caused by late asynchronous responses. History loading and file presentation have also been adjusted to make earlier discussions easier to revisit.

The LaTeX editor includes refinements to file-tree dragging, previews, sidebars, and history navigation. Downloads provide progress feedback. Compilation tasks, results, and output files are associated more reliably to reduce confusion when tasks change or actions happen quickly.

Clearer literature upload and organization

Upload and metadata parsing are shown as separate stages, making it easier to distinguish saved files from pending work and retry failures as appropriate. Zotero uses a popup authorization flow to connect an account and continue importing literature.

Favorites, sharing filters, and storage information in project and literature lists have also been refined for everyday organization.
